Memorial Day Drive-In
OK, not exactly the drive-in, but even better. Our backdoor neighbor (see the gate in our backyard fence?) set up a HUGE projection screen and speakers in his backyard and invited us to come and watch a movie. It was the PERFECT evening! Warm and not a breeze blowing! The kids took their chairs and blankets and the neighbors didn't complain about the noise. We use the gate often for the kids to "cut through" for the bus stop and for Sheila to sneak over one evening a week and get together with the girls to watch a couple of favorite shows together. It was a fun evening!
Father-Son Campout
The morning of the campout Ryan was out of town. Tread ended up in bed with me and when he woke up, he looked at me and had a HUGE smile on his face. He asked me if I was happy. "Yes, I'm happy" I replied. "Are you happy?" Then Tread yelled with giddy joy..."Yes, because today's the FATHER-SON CAMPOUT!" He was so excited for this trip! Here is a picture of Tread going down the water slide at the Father-Son campout.
It was 50 feet long!
They went near the Owyhee Dam. It looked like a beautiful place to camp!
Ryan said in the morning while waking up in the tent, Tread was still half asleep saying "Not now mama, I'm still sleeping! (Tread always has been the sleeper in the family). The boys took their little motorcycles to ride and had a great time!

THE car.
These pictures don't do it justice, but this is Chase's design for his Pinewood Derby car. It had to be representative of BSU of course and Chase was pleased with the sparkly blue paint job. Dad put hours (and hours) of work into this car until Mom wanted to....yeah. But I suppose it was all worth it.
I would like to get some better pictures. Everyone seemed impressed with the paint job and the Scout master said we should post in on the Pinewood Derby website.
Everything is an actual paint job except for the "Thunder" and "Boise State" letters. Nice work Ryan.

Pinewood Derby
Chase took 3rd place in his First Pinewood Derby. He was really excited (although he kept his "cool" during the entire evening!) He also received the Blue Ribbon for "Judge's Favorite" car. Chase designed his car (Go Broncos) and Dad did one killer paint job on the car. It was a fun evening and even Grandpa Don was able to attend. Way to go Chase and Dad!

Parade America
I'm not sure who sponsors this local parade but we managed to catch it in between soccer games. It was a beautiful day and we found a great parking spot and a place in the shade!
The kids had their juice boxes and were ready for the show!
It wasn't long before Grace and Tread figured out that the more they waved their hands in the air, more candy was thrown their way!
If this is what they're sending to Iraq, we're in trouble!
We Are The Champions!
Tread made a few goals during his last game and I thought I got one on tape. It appears that it wasn't actually his foot that kicked the ball into the goal. However, he showed that his team, the "FIREBALLS" are #1!

See Ya Later!
In order to get to church on time, we leave 30 minutes prior. Yes, we only live two minutes away BUT you know how it is! I send the kids out first and Ryan and I gather the bags and books and snacks together. As we were loading up, I see my sweet little girl cruising down the driveway in her beautiful dress and white socks! She just laughed at me and kept driving, so what could I do but take her picture. (Then Chase decided to join in on his scooter.) What a girl.

2006 Fair
You Poor Thing!
I had an appointment Saturday afternoon and this is what I came home to. All four kids were sick. Earlier that morning, Audrey had a soccer game and when she came home she just went down hill and from there, they started dropping like flies! Some kind of 24-hr stomach flu. It was the QUIETEST Saturday afternoon I have ever had!
So, I did what any good mother would do with four sick children....I watched a movie :)
EEWWWW!
Now that you've lost your appetite, these lovely creatures are killing our Ash tree. We don't know what they are but they have made their home in our tree and popped their ugly faces out the trunk and left their exoskeleten. There are several of them up and down the trunk. Isn't that the ugliest thing you've ever seen? We have some people coming out to look at them and give us an opinion but I think the tree is a loss.

We Will, We Will Rock You!
">
Yeah! My first video! It only took me 50 minutes to upload! Everyone PLEASE send Ryan sympathy letters for me so he will get faster service! This is a new song that Tread was taught by the neighborhood boys and you can hear Grace chiming right in!

The Laundry Bomb
Caged Animals!
Aunt Kathy rented an Astrojump for Kaitlin's After-Prom Party and invited the kids to come jump while it wasn't being used. Tread could not climb in it by himself and finally figured out if he rolled to the side with face resting on the net, he could pull himself up! It looked so funny that it became a joke. The next evening, Audrey spend the night in it with Kaitlin too. She had was so excited. Thank you Kaitlin!
