Nampa City Fountain

It was so hot this day, we decided we would run down before dinner and let the kids run through the fountain downtown. There are usually a few people there watching their kids run through and the water is chlorinated so you know that it is safe!
"He who would not be photographed" decided to dry off on his skateboard.

Splishin' and a Splashin'

Ryan decided to join in the fun!

Made in the Shade

I decided I was cool enough in the shade!

Stylin'

Grace decided she had taken too much water on and needed the goggles to see.

Staying Cool!

Tread decided to see how much water he could take on!

Extreme Celebrity!

So, you've heard the recent stories of Extreme Home Makeover being in town. We went up to be a spectator on this day and signed up to volunteer on another day only to be turned away because they didn't need anymore volunteers! We were really disappointed but...WHATEVER! Audrey, however, was thrilled because she got her picture taken with Paul. Genuinely nice guy and took the time to take pictures even though it was over 100 degrees outside! It must have been those movie star sunglasses!

4th of July

The 4th of July was a day filled with activities. After a big breakfast, we all met and went bowling, then we went to lunch and then to a movie. During lunch, there was a store where the kids were "shopping" and finding all kinds of things they would like to have. Chase was showing grandpa a car that he really wanted and apparantly if you find something you really want the magic words are "Grandpa, I found this "item" I really want but I don't have enough money" and then grandpa pulls out his wallet. So the kids are showing all of their goodies after grandpa spoiled them. The magic must only work for ages 10 and under because I tried it and came out empty-handed! :)
Kids lighting their "Safe and Sane" fireworks!
Grace found a great seat for the show!
We decided to run out to Melba to watch the big fireworks and there were so many people out there, we didn't want to get stuck in traffic. We ended up pulling over on the side of the road and sitting on the roof of the van so we had a great view!

Fun for all Ages!

We set up the slide for the evening of the 4th of July. Sarah, Estrella and Kaitlin decided to take a shot at it with the kids, who were thrilled! As you can see...they were all legs!

Stanley Lake

This was taken near our campsite at Stanley Lake. It was a beautiful view. We had the opportunity to go camping with Greg & Keri and take all the kids. It was a longer drive than I had thought but we had a great weekend away and can't wait to go back! We traveled from Stanley Lake to nearby Redfish Lake and they both had gorgeous views!

Lakeside Friends

Tread was being sweet to hold Grace's hand while she was being cautious in the water. Which proves he CAN be a sweet brother!

Nap Time

We were in our paddle boat on the lake and it ended up "rocking" Grace to sleep. She spent the next couple of hours in the shade taking a much needed nap!

Exploring the Lake

These are the kids playing on Redfish lake. We didn't realize we had been there so long. We ate lunch on the beach and ended up spending a good 6 hours out. It was a beautiful place to relax!

Jumping Bean

Grace could have spent ALL day in the water jumping up and down. She kept pulling on me to "go down to the water" all day. This was taken at Stanley lake next to our campsite.

Road Trip

We "swapped" Tread for Emma during the drive to Stanley. The kids had fun being silly in the back seat and Tread got to ride with Aunt Keri and Uncle Greg.

Bear Class

The kids had the opportunity to take a "bear" class next to our campsite at Stanley lake. I can't remember who sponsored it, but they got to learn about bear habits and seemed to enjoy the class.

Brrrrr!

Here are all the cousins at Redfish lake. The lake was cold but not cold enough to keep them out of the water! The sandbar went out about 200? feet, so we didn't have to worry about them playing out there alone. They had so much fun and we were there ALL day!

Strike a Pose!

Emma and Audrey at Redfish lake took advantage of this photo opportunity!

Poses in the Roses

Another highlight in Julia Davis is the beautiful rose garden where the girls had fun posing for a picture. Scroll down to "Julia Davis Centennial" for more pictures I drafted earlier. They posted back in June's blog space.
